Tezca Colombo

Description:

Pale-skinned, her hair is a morphing range of colors. Currently various shades of blue, it’s worn in a half shaved undercut with the rest almost chin length. Often pushing it out of her eyes, it does help camouflage that one eyes is brilliant blue and the right is intensely green. Were you to see the hair before it was dyed, it’d probably be black like her brothers, but it’s been so long she’s not actually sure what that would look like. Various black ink swirls into an almost full sleeve down her right arm, with traces of continuing well below her clothes. An eyebrow, nose and tongue piercing carry hints of silver from her bestudded and barred ears across her face. A fan of her old and well worn in combat boots, she’s most likely seen in jeans and teeshirt….unless she’s stolen her brothers leather coat again.

Bio:
The Columbo twins, Que and Tezca. A curious case study, so far as the story goes. Born to all American parents serving in Ireland, they have been one interesting story after another, ever since they were little. Que, always a little too headstrong for the other kids, little too much fire in him, reliant on the constant presence of his sister, Tezca. Pretty normal upbringing, if you discount the parent’s addiction issues and growing up place to place…least till the accident. Both parents gone in oh….little over a month? Poor kids, they were only ‘bout 11 when it happened. Their daddy was deployed, his convoy took a direct hit from one of them big guns, I don’t think he ever even saw the flash. Small mercy, the same couldn’t be said of the mother. I think she just couldn’t deal after her husband died, ended up wasting out on heroin and tramadol. Ugly death, that, and them so young. Weren’t any family for them to go to, so they got sent into the system once they were back homeside. Not much to say till they aged out….older kids don’t get adopted, so the kids stayed together. Crappy systems, crappy homes….frankly no wonder they signed papers at 17, shipped out 3 days after their 18th birthday, Army like the parents. Blew people outta the water once they got outta Basic. High scores in testing saw them qualify, then pass, Special Forces training together and start racking missions under their belts. One after the other, long as they could go together, they’d take on anything the Army threw at them. Everyone who knew them thought they’d be on a fast track for rank. Basically kept to themselves, never any relationships, back on base they prefered to share living quarters when they weren’t in the sandbox. Story says there may have been more to that….Tezca got caught sneaking outta the barracks Que was in one too many time and the company’s mood soured on them overnight. Nothing anyone could prove, you know, but word round the camp was that there was more going on. Higher ups didn’t like that, seein’ as it was affecting the rest of the troops…they wouldn’t trust the twins any more. Eventually a fight broke out between Que and another grunt over something being said about Tezca and the brass hauled them in. “Less than Honorable’ discharges for the pair of them, shipped ‘em back home and the service washed their hands clean of them. Musta been a hell of an adjustment for them. Seems they bounced back alright in the end though. Started going freelance, biggest bidder, harder hunt….you name it, they could find, catch, trap or kill it. All over the place, never staying for too long, the twins started crisscrossing the States taking jobs where they could. Que always the shield to his sister, they made an impressive team on their own, just as they’d done before. That brings us up till a few weeks ago. Tezca went in to talk to a potential new client but something musta smelled off to Que cause little over an hour into the meeting he showed up at the front door tryin’ to drag her outta the meeting. He took one look all poleaxed-like at the guy and starts scrambling to get her away. You can guess she didn’t appreciate that none, but he’d been ravin’ that the guy was a monster, and why couldn’t she see the truth and sure as shit, once Que’d said something it was like she could see it too. Don’t know what it was, but it certainly was NOT something they wanted to be working with, and it seemed less than glad to be seen as it actually was instead of the polished veneer. The twins barely got out of the house, bruised and bloody, and been on the run ever since. No one’d believe them if they told what they’d seen, and now they’re seeing things all over as they flee north. What little searching they’ve been able to do on the road turns up impossible results. Demons, Vampires….even werewolves. Those couldn’t be true, they think…but the ever practical Tezca makes sure to keep their weapons in good order, and starts digging for other people like them. Heading through northern michigan, they are just outside a little town called Luddington tonight, looking for a bed, some gas, free flowing booze and some answers.
